1. Nature of Engagement
The volunteer understands that this is a voluntary, unpaid role, and does not constitute an employer–employee relationship.
Any stipend or incentive (if applicable) is solely based on organizational policy.
2. Volunteer Responsibilities
- Perform assigned tasks responsibly and with commitment.
- Follow instructions from the project coordinators or team leaders.
- Maintain professionalism and represent the organization positively.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, or events as required.
3. Conduct & Ethics
- Treat all beneficiaries, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect.
- Avoid discrimination, harassment, or offensive behavior.
- Maintain honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct in all activities.
- Refrain from using the organization's name or resources for personal benefit.
4. Confidentiality
Volunteers must keep confidential any sensitive information related to beneficiaries, internal operations, financial data, or organizational strategies.
Confidentiality must be maintained even after the volunteer’s term ends.
5. Attendance & Commitment
- Volunteers should be punctual and dependable.
- Any absence must be communicated in advance to the coordinator.
- Tasks may involve fieldwork, office work, or remote work depending on project needs.
6. Safety & Conduct During Activities
Volunteers must follow all safety instructions during events or field visits.
The organization is not liable for personal injury or loss unless caused by organizational negligence.
7. Use of Media & Images
The volunteer agrees that photos/videos taken during activities may be used by the NGO for reports, social media, promotions, or documentation purposes.
8. Property & Resource Use
Volunteers must use organizational materials, documents, or assets responsibly.
Loss or damage due to negligence may require compensation.
9. Termination of Volunteering
The NGO may terminate volunteer engagement due to:
- Misconduct
- Violation of policies
- Poor performance or non-participation
- Breach of confidentiality
The volunteer may also discontinue by giving prior notice.
10. Agreement & Acceptance
By agreeing to volunteer, the individual confirms that they:
- Have read and understood the terms and conditions.
- Agree to abide by the organization’s policies and guidelines.
- Will contribute positively toward the NGO’s mission and goals.
